Milestones & Activities

Q3 2015: Carbon Intensity (CI) of Steeper Energy’s Hydrofaction™ oil is 15 CO2eq/MJ according to GHGenius model (version 4.03a). For comparison, CI of diesel fuel from BC is 93.55 CO2eq/MJ. The scenario used for Steeper’s CI calculation is producing Hydrofaction™ oil from wood residues in Peace River, Alberta in Canada, and refining the renewable fuel oil at an oil refinery in Burnaby, British Columbia.
